About Catherine Evans

Catherine Evans - Shropshire family photographer
Elegant & Artistic WeddingPortrait and Newborn Photography based in Shropshire

As a married mum of two, who used to be a dance teacher, I am passionate about art and capturing the amazing milestones we experience in life. I got my first DSLR when travelling abroad and I have never looked back. My passion turned into my vocation and I have been a professional photographer for over 10 years.

As a child my Mum and Nan always had hundreds of photos and albums, which I adored looking at. Since becoming a mother to my two adorable children, I now value my family photographs even more and am passionate about creating stunning images, which will last a lifetime. Capturing those precious moments as you watch your family grow and celebrating all your special occasions is an absolute joy for me.

“Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.” Dorothea Lange.

I have a creative and relaxed approach, enabling me to capture the emotion, which tells your story. At your wedding I will fit in with your day to tell your story, documenting all the details with a sympathetic and artistic eye. I will capture your day with elegance, creativity and skill.

As well as all the specific training I have enjoyed over the years, I am a real ‘people person’ – I love getting to know the people I meet, building a rapport, putting them at ease and really understanding what they want from their photographs. This is as important than any training, as the emotion of a person or event is what will encapsulate that perfect moment forever.

I am approachable, unobtrusive and professional. Choosing the right style for you is so important and selecting the right photographer as a person, even more so!

Although based on the borders of Shropshire, Wales and Herefordshire, I have travelled to beautiful locations such as St Audries Park, Taunton, Orchardleigh House, Frome, St. David’s Hotel in Cardiff Bay and even Snowdonia to capture some stunning weddings.
