DELBURY HALL WEDDING

Delbury Hall and the Coach House

If you are planning a Delbury Hall wedding you are in for a treat, it is one of the most magnificent wedding venues in rural Shropshire.  A private family residence, home to the Wrigley family, its striking architecture, breathtaking grounds and contemporary facilities can be exclusively yours on your wedding day. Take a look at Delbury Hall & The Coach House wedding Venue.

The Coach House is the main reception room which has two huge chandeliers, which can also be decorated, though there is a permanent arrangement of hydrangeas and ivy. The three original coach house doors are now glazed and, on warm summer evenings, slide open onto a flower filled flagstone terrace, bordered by the original cobbles, which were saved during the restoration of the courtyard; the clock in the clock tower, made by Thomas Blakeway of Rushbury in 1753, still accurately chimes the hours. The Italian limestone floor is warmed by underfloor heating and part of the original stabling has been converted into a modern kitchen.

Becky and Ben’s civil ceremony took place in the Coach House, converted and renovated in 2007 and now entirely dedicated to wedding ceremonies and celebrations. This light and airy space features original beams, full height bi-fold doors and a neutral colour palette, with an elegant glass-balconied mezzanine – the chosen setting for many ceremonies.

Afterwards we were able to utilise the beautiful grounds; the wedding Pagoda which is reached along a pretty pathway and surrounded by a sweeping lawn with ample space to seat up to 150 guests. Adjacent to this is the glorious lake, home to a flock of Muscovy ducks and a possible setting for your welcome drinks. The grounds at Delbury are extensive and versatile – the setting for beautiful photographs, champagne and some garden games in the sunshine. As well as the grounds you are also welcome to have photographs in the main hall of Delbury Hall.

If you are looking for Shropshire or Hereford wedding photographers, it may even be the perfect spot for you.
