Online photography course for parents
I have written an online photography course for parents. This year I am running the course throughout two weeks of the February half term. (my children have different half terms so I thought I’d run it both weeks in case yours are the same!)
The course will be delivered via a private Facebook group.
Each day for five days I will post a link to the task and resources and offer tips and advice as well as feedback to all my participants in the group.
Who is the course aimed at?
Would you like to learn how to take better photographs of your family? Perhaps learn how to use your camera a little better? Whether you have a smart phone camera, a DSLR or a point and shoot camera, I want to show you how to capture your family more creatively. This is why I run the course during the school holidays so you can practice on your children. But if you feel the holidays are too hectic you now have the option to select the non school holiday week.
How long is the course?
This is a short mini course. It’s five days of fun lessons, designed to focus your mind on achievable strategies to improve your images.
Together, we will focus on skills that can be applied to any camera – it’s all about seeing, composing, storytelling and seeing how small adjustments and simple strategies make a big difference.
You will be able to log in and look at the resources and start your ‘practice’ at any time during that day to suit you. And the resources will stay available once posted so you can catch up, or revisit at your leisure.
Please select preference when making your enquiry: Week beginning Monday 14th February OR Monday 21st February.
How technical is the course?
We won’t be covering anything too technical on this course. Don’t get me wrong, you should absolutely learn how to use your camera. BUT my photography course won’t cause anyone to feel out of depth. Because it’s only five sessions and aimed as much at giving you a love of photography and a better ‘eye’ for pictures, I won’t be delving too far into every function on your camera. But rest assured, that by studying the tasks set you will make great improvements to your family photographs, improve your compositional tools and get some images you can treasure forever.
To find out more, or sign up, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, call me on 07971 634646 or send me a message on Facebook at @catherineevansphotography or Instagram at @catherine_evans_photgraphy and I will send you all the details. The course fee is £50 for 5 days of tuition.
In the meantime, I am very much looking forward to being able to meet with you for outdoor photo shoots in Shropshire, Herefordshire and surrounding areas. My spring mini shoot dates are being released very soon.
